I've always been attracted to sculptural forms and trace it back to my childhood when watching Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet puppet figures ... marching round the room to Barry Gray's over-the-top opening title themes.
Art has always been good to me, whether appreciating someone else's creativity or through exploring my own, losing myself for hours in appreciation and self-discovery. Musical inspiration helps when being creative and comes mostly from 60's Love and 70's Glam, Soul, Disco sounds, moods and attitudes. As well as showing some of my own art work, I'll be highlighting my favourite inspirations and influences through Thursday Gallery pages and blog. |
ArtI love the roughness of a sketch or underpainting and the raw message you can take from it.

PhotographyI take photos of whatever tickles me. Knowing sometime that the finished print will be displayed upside down.

SculptureEach is unique on their own, though I really do get a buzz out of seeing beautiful shapes in repetition.
